For Alessandra

Behind the veil thin skin of a diamond
It’s carbon heart pristine
In silent density of incorruptible matter
A pure prism untouched: I see her heart

And her heart glitters
Like the dawn light dancing
On the dew-dense glade
Like the glancing moonlight
On stained glass
The glimmering flicker on the
Twilight lake

I wake a second later

The dawn’s calm beating of the hearts
Her gaze meets mine,
A single bond embraced:

My name is Corin Bryant I am a gym instructor living in Devon. I’ve been writing poems and short stories as long as I can remember. Interesting fact about me, I used to be an obese alcoholic, now I’m not.
